Charles Decker is an Apache, an artist, and an enrolled member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation in near Sedona, Arizona. As of 2021, Decker’s works are now on permanent display in the National Indian Gaming Associations headquarters and the National Congress of American Indians Embassy, located in Washington D.C. Makes sure to stop by his booth #108 at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention in Anaheim 2022. Charles will be painting live on largescale canvas during the event while talking about history and culture. Decker’s paintings will be available for purchase and he is available to schedule custom canvas paintings for your corporate and residential needs. Stop by and say hello!

Charles Decker is self-taught, and comes from a family of artists, both on his mother’s and father’s sides. Decker’s male clan name is “Dzl’taddn”” or “Below the mountain”. Charles’ great great grandfather was Henry Irving, a well noted Apache medicine man who was born near Payson, Arizona and later grew up in Fossil Creek west of Payson, Arizona during the mid-1800s to the late 1800s. Henry was known as Deyelleh or “One who dreams”.
