ASVAB Career Exploration Program
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) is a no-cost career planning resource available to students nationwide. This comprehensive program includes one of the most widely used multiple-aptitude test batteries in the world (the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)), an interest inventory based on Holland’s RIASEC Theory of Career Choice, which measures students’ occupational interests across a wide range of professional roles, and a work values assessment that helps students identify what they desire in an ideal job. All of this is complemented by a thorough occupational database designed to give students an in-depth look at the world of work and the paths they can pursue.
The ASVAB CEP offers students a chance to explore multiple paths to careers - college, certifications, apprenticeships, licensure programs, skilled trades, civic roles, the military – with no obligation for military service or to be contacted by a military recruiter. Integrated planning tools, calendars, resume builders, and other resources help students find and evaluate different career options, and compare the steps needed to achieve career success.
