The University Resident Theatre Association (URTA) is a national organization with a mission of supporting professional training of theatre artists. For more than 50 years, we have set the stage for emerging artists to find the experience and training they need to grow and excel in the professional theatre and entertainment fields.
Our 46 member universities are committed to the highest professional standards in theatrical production and training, a fair and honest recruiting process, and the principles of integrity, accessibility, and inclusion.
