• iSwiss Offers Flexible Guide Bushing (Feb 15, 2023)

  iSwiss Corporation will be displaying Double Cone and Pull Collets for Flexible Guide Bushings in Booth 5348 at EASTEC 2023.

  The Double Cone and Pull Collets from iSwiss are compatible with all pneumatic guide bushing systems and have the clamping range from -0.8 mm to +0.2 mm (-.032” to +.008”). These collets come with high runout accuracy and prevent friction and galling between the material and the guide bushing collet. The brass alloy option delivers high hardness and low heat sensitivity so it’s non-abrasive to the material. Both collets are also available in grey cast iron and Nitrided steel. 

  Both the Double Cone and Pull Collets come with “Kroko” slots option, which prevents chips and dirt from getting into the bore and slots. The stainless-steel clamping ring on both Double Cone and Pull Collets (as well as Kroko option) holds the collet securely preventing it from falling apart therefore delivering greater stability and sets it apart from existing products on the market. The standard Double Cone and Pull Collets automatically come with a chip cover in certain sizes/diameters.

• New Backworking Holders from iSwiss Redesigned to Reduce Set up Time (Feb 15, 2023)

  iSwiss Corporation launched a new insert system, the Height Adjustable Backworking Holder X Type.

  The new Height Adjustable Backworking Holder X Type offers precise coolant delivery to the cutting area up to 130 bars (1885 psi). It has been redesigned to point the coolant flow directly to the tip of the tool which helps evacuate the heat from the cutting area and break the chips. The new system is built more rigidly to eliminate vibrations (up to 80%) which helps increase tool life and to achieve better surface finish. These holders are intended for Star, Citizen, Tornos, Mazak, Tsugami, Hanwha, Traub and Manurhin machines.

  The new Height Adjustable Backworking Holder X Type has interchangeable heads for turning, grooving, threading, drilling, reaming and boring operations using the same base shank which helps reduce set up time.  The adjustable holders are great for machines with no Y axis on the sub side and allows you to physically adjust the head center line to the sub spindle position eliminating issues with machine alignment. Machines with Y axis for backworking can also use these holders as modular tool holders and utilize all variety of ISO standard tool geometries and solutions of top tooling manufacturers.
