Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) is the practical application of engineering and scientific principles for the purpose of designing and manufacturing quality products and systems. State-of-the-art computer software is complemented with instruction in mathematics, science, and engineering analysis providing the graduate with a sound foundation for implementation of design and manufacturing solutions. Graduates of the MET program are prepared to compete in a competitive job market. In addition, graduates have transfer options to pursue a Bachelor's Degree.

CAD/CAMCERTIFICATE: CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION IN CAD/CAM

The CAD/CAM certificate is designed to provide students with basic manufacturing and design skills. Students can enroll in the program either Fall or Spring, however, if the student wishes to complete the certificate in one year, it must be started in the fall. Students who complete this certificate are prepared for employment as entry-level part detailers using any CAD system or entry-level positions in any manufacturing company.

CNC OperationsCertificate: Certificate of Completion in CNC Operations

The CNC Operations certificate is designed to provide students with basic operation and control of modern computer numerical control machinery. The CNC certificate prepares the student for an entry-level position in manufacturing companies in the greater Springfield—Hartford area. Students can enroll in the program either Fall or Spring, however, if the student wishes to complete the certificate in one year, it must be started in the fall.
