Bahco Takes Innovation to the Next Level with Launch of the World’s First Trimetal Bandsaw Blade – the 3859 Easy-Cut Xtreme Trimetal Blade
Kenosha, Wis., November 10, 2022 – Bahco is expanding its bandsaw blade portfolio with the debut of the world’s first trimetal bandsaw blade. The Bahco 3859 Easy-Cut Xtreme Trimetal Bandsaw Blade offers users an easier, wider-ranging and faster cut with a longer-lasting blade life.

The company is renowned for its research and innovation efforts that ensure they stay ahead of the curve, which lead to the development of its new trimetal carbide bandsaw blade.
The 3859 can cut a much wider array of materials, including structural and mild steels, stainless steels, cast iron, high temperature alloys and tool steels. Its unique set pattern provides a greater range of cutting widths, bringing greater application potential and increased productivity.
The 3859 Easy-Cut Xtreme Trimetal Bandsaw Blade cuts “easy to cut” materials and difficult materials with the same blade; there is no need to change blades. This saves time and money by reducing blade inventory, operator labor and machine downtime. The 3859 also boasts a much longer blade life than bimetal blades. Its enhanced durability also means the blade can cut faster when needed.
Because the trimetal blade uses the same parameters as bimetal blades, there is no need to break in the blade. The 3859 comes direct from our factory already honed with a patented edge preparation. This is our best multi-application out-of-the-box bandsaw blade yet!

Bahco Makes Pallet Recycling and Pallet Dismantling Faster and Easier with New Line of Reciprocating and Bandsaw Blades
Kenosha, Wis., February 27, 2025 – Bahco is expanding its portfolio with a line of reciprocating and bandsaw blades designed for the pallet disassembly saws used in the pallet dismantling business.
Bahco is a world leader in the bandsaw market with more than 140 years of experience manufacturing saw blades and cutting tools. The company provides tailored solutions to meet the changing needs of high-performing professionals.
These new Pallet Dismantler Blades are designed to easily cut through the nails and staples found in pallets while standing up to the shock of interrupted cuts. These tough bi-metal blades can withstand the cutting heat that can quickly destroy the temper of carbon steel blades traditionally used to cut wood pallets and skids.
- The M42 Pallet Dismantler Bandsaw blades are 1-1/4” x .042” (34 x 1.1mm) with 5/8 teeth per inch.
- Welded loops are sold in bulk packs of 20 and are offered in a variety of lengths to cover numerous applications. Lengths include: 18’6”, 19’, 20’, 20’6”, 22’, 22’4”, 23’, 23’8”, 24’ and 25’4”.
The 3840 Pallet Dismantler Reciprocating Bimetal Saw Blades have a unique design that prevents the blade from getting stuck in the closed position when cutting nails in damaged parts of the pallet. The tooth design allows for excellent rate removal in wooden material with nails, and its elevated strength prevents tooth breakage.
- The 7-1/2” (190mm) Reciprocating Bimetal Saw Blades come in 10/14 teeth per inch and 10 teeth per inch and are sold in packs of 100.
- The 8” (210mm) Reciprocating Bimetal Saw Blades come in 10 teeth per inch and are sold in packs of 100 or 500.
- The 10” (269 mm) Reciprocating Bimetal Saw Blades come in 10 teeth per inch and are sold in packs of 100.
