  •  A heavy duty I.D. clamping milling end prep tool that can J-prep bevel, face, and bore all pipe alloys in preparation for orbital welding is available from ESCO Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts.

The Esco PrepZilla MILLHOG® I.D. Clamping End Prep Tool is offered with a wide selection of cutting blades including a J-preparation blade that creates consistent contoured radius and clean neck for orbital welding. Capable of producing thick chips without cutting fluids for fast fit-up and high integrity welds, it bevels all highly-alloyed pipes and one mandrel with eight sets of clamps covers the entire range of the tool.

Suited for heavy-wall pipe from 1.575” I.D. to 8.625” O.D., the robust Esco Prepzilla MILLHOG® I.D. Clamping End Prep Tool features dual opposed tapered roller bearings, direct-drive gears, a ridged blade lock system, and TiN coated T-15 tool steel cutter blades with a proprietary chip breaker that transfers heat away from the pipe surface. Interchangeable pneumatic, electric and hydraulic motors are offered.

The Esco Prepzilla MILLHOG® I.D. clamping End Prep Tool is available for sale and rent.

  • A new adapter kit for rapidly and cleanly removing injection molded polypropylene (IMPP) insulation from pipe in preparation for welding is being introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts.

The Esco IMPP Removal Kit fits on the MILLHOG® Dictator pipe beveling machine to rapidly and cleanly remove injection molded polypropylene (IMPP) insulation from pipe in preparation for welding. Featuring a series of blades that peel the IMPP back up to 12″ from the face of the pipe, the angle of bevel for the insulation is 60 degrees which improves adhesion during reapplication of the polypropylene coating.

Developed for pipe from 4.5″ to 18″ O.D., the Esco IMPP Removal Kit for the MILLHOG® Dictator pipe beveling machine is available with new tools or can be retrofit. The MILLHOG® Dictator is ideally suited for dry-cutting stainless steel and super duplex piping systems. Available with pneumatic, hydraulic or electric power, it produces 4,100 ft.-lbs. of torque at the blade and performs end preps from 30 to 37.5 degrees.

An easy to use manually operated tool for re-facing damaged flanges and restoring them to like-new condition with a phonographic finish, virtually anywhere, is being introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts....

  • The Esco FLANGE HOG 110® is a manually operated hand tool with a rigid I.D. clamping system and a 1” to 10” I.D. range that provides a facing diameter up to 14”. Suitable for re-facing a variety of flange materials including cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and many alloys, a user simply swings the tool in a circular motion which advances the facing blade outward and creates a perfectly precise phonographic finish.

Featuring 0.005” alignment accuracy, the Esco FLANGE HOG 110® incorporates a worm gear that smoothly drives a lead screw to produce a continuous and true spiral finish. Two interchangeable cross feeds are available for both a smooth and stock finish in accordance with ASME B16.5 standards. Supplied as a complete kit, the tool includes a sturdy carrying case, straight and 90-degree tool bit holders, and all necessary wrenches.
