    Laser marking systems such as Murrplastik’s mp-LM Series make inscriptions for the company’s polycarbonate and polypropylene ID plates as well as anodized aluminum and stainless steel media. Using mirrors, the devices direct a laser beam onto material. The laser’s heat causes carbon emission which darkens the material to create a visual contrast and a long-lasting mark.
