Hypertherm recently released a minor version update to ProNest® 2021, its advanced CAD/CAM nesting software for automated cutting. This new release contains targeted features and enhancements designed to make customers more efficient and profitable. New features include the following:

• Undo and redo. This makes it possible to step backward or forward as you complete actions on the nest. Using undo and redo can be useful if you moved a part on the nest and want to move it back to its exact previous position, for example.
• Drag leads. Using this feature allows programmers to drag a lead-in or lead-out to quickly change the size or angle of the lead. This efficient and visual method of adjusting your leads is designed particularly for artwork pieces that may not need leads in precise locations.
• Search for jobs. A way to quickly find all jobs in the database, including jobs created by other users in a shared database environment. You can search by a number of different fields to find the jobs you need, such as job name, part name, nest material, plate name, work order number, and so on.
• CSV quotes. Users now have the option of exporting quotes as a CSV file in addition to print, PDF, and email. CSV quotes can be imported to QuickBooks® for invoicing or to your ERP/MRP software.

The undo feature was one of the top suggestions we received from customers, so we knew we had to get it into this release and we’re super excited to see it come to fruition,” said Chris Pollard, a Product Manager for Hypertherm CAD/CAM software products. “It’s all about listening to our customers and making the incremental improvements that make their jobs easier.”

Rotary Tube Pro™ 3 from Hypertherm is a major version update of its tube and pipe cutting software for machines with a rotary axis. New features include:

• Common line cutting allows operators to cut two or more parts so that they share at least one common line with one another. This provides greater material utilization and better consumable life.
• Costing for parts, nests, and jobs to include factors such as consumable wear, machine operating cost, labor costs, electricity, etc
• Auto-select of material so operators can enter basic material descriptions in settings and automatically map to available materials. With this feature, operators no longer need to separately pick a material and thickness once a tube size and wall thickness is selected.
