 Press Releases

  • HGG’S newest Multi-Profile Cutting Machine (MPC 450 2.0) provides a cost-effective and flexible solution for manufacturers that can no longer justify a dedicated machine for pipe profiling alone. The highly accurate 3D MPC 450 2.0 combines three machines into one versatile and flexible solution. It is easily configured to cut a wide variety of profiles, including pipes, box sections, angle bars, and flat sheet metal strips. By incorporating HGG ProCAM Software, its capabilities are multiplied. A new laser scanner adds even more capability, while improving accuracy even more.

The MPC 450 2.0 offers three basic flexible machine configurations, to multiply capability, flexibility and versatility for today’s demanding economic conditions. Users can configure it to cut pipes, positioning material on pipe supports and clamping it in three chuck jaws; to cut box sections, positioning material on pipe supports in specially designed rotators and then clamping it in two diagonally opposite jaws of the chuck; or to cut profiles from bar flat stock, positioning and individually fixing material on a flat cutting table.

The MPC 450 2.0 is designed for 3D production automation as an integral part of the manufacturing process, from design and work preparation to cutting and finally, the fitting and welding of parts. The MPC 450 is easily programmed using HGG MDI (manual data input) and/or ProCAD software. CAD files are easily converted into “ready to cut” formats with HGG ProCAD software. HGG ProGRAM software provides a direct link from independent workstations to the MPC 450 2.0 machine, providing basic programming of end cuts to complete highly accurate part design and programming of all profile cuts (even for complex structures). Finally, a new 360° optical laser scanner has the capability to detect any material section distortion in advance, improving accuracy even more.

HGG is a leading supplier of pipe cutting machines, robotic profile cutting lines and associated cutting equipment solutions around the world. HGG maintains subsidiaries in the Philippines, China, India, the Middle East, and most recently in the United States.

  • HGG Profiling Equipment recently opened a new 6,500 square-foot center in Houston, Texas to better service and support the company’s growing list of customers and profile-cutting machine installations in North and South America. Along with providing service and support, HGG’s new center will act as a centralized hub to rapidly deploy technical field service and engineering support.

The new center will employ a customer service manager, administrative and inside sales personnel, telephone service support engineers, field service engineers and technicians, and a warehouse and shipping clerk.

Along with maintaining an onsite staff with service and support capabilities, HGG will use the new facility to warehouse spare machine parts and plasma consumables for quick customer turnaround. The center will also house a training center for customers and HGG personnel, with profile-cutting demo machinery onsite incorporating the latest HGG software solutions. Some light machine assembly is planned for the center over time.

HGG will initially showcase its ProCutter 600, specially designed for cutting complex tube and pipe profiles up to 24 inches in diameter. The HGG PC 600 incorporates advanced HGG technology and expertise in HGG’s most affordable 3D profile-cutting machine. It is available with oxy-fuel, plasma, marking and CAM interfaces. The PC 600 reduces grinding, fitting and welding time and related costs after pipe profiles are cut, while providing full penetration welds.

HGG, headquartered in the Netherlands, is a leading supplier of pipe cutting machines, robotic profile cutting lines and associated cutting equipment solutions around the world. • New ProCutter900 RB Automates & Streamlines Total Process Pipe-Cutting Productivity On A Small Footprint

HGG’s new ProCutter900 RB adds full logistic process on a small footprint to its ProCutter pipe-cutting machine family. Along with an ability to accurately cut precision profiles from 2 to 36-inch diameter pipe up to 42 feet in length at an affordable price, the new RB Series integrates a totally automated material handling system on a small footprint. With the infeed conveyor, raw material is continuously fed into the machine, cut and profiled with a pantograph cutting arm, and then systematically moved out parallel to the cutting table. The total process is automated and streamlined for next level productivity, while HGG’s unique integrated 2-point fume extraction system optimizes operator safety.

The PC900 RB offers fabricators the same cost-saving benefits as other ProCutter pipe cutting machines, including precision accuracy to dramatically reduce grinding, fitting and welding time after pipe profiles are cut. The PC900 RB machines also integrate the same components: proprietary HGG software for easy 3D parameter-based part profile programming and work preparation, a three-jaw chuck for secure pipe positioning, a durable pipe support and cutting bed with roller bed for easy pipe loading and unloading, a rugged and durable machine frame, a cutting trolly with biaxial cutting head using plasma, and an easy-to-use operator interface with graphic touch-screen navigation.
