Julia Utensili Srl was founded in 1978 in Tarcento (Italy) and started as a manufacturer of HSS circular saw blades, exclusively made from European steel in M2 or M35 quality.
During the years Julia’s product portfolio has been extended to a wide range of HSS products and tungsten carbide tipped saw blades.
This could be possible thanks to continuous improvement, investments in cutting edge technology production machines, and research.
All this effort, passion, and commitment to deliver the best solution to its customers, allow Julia to become a market leader in the metal cutting saw blades sector with an expected turnover of more than 20 million euros in 2019.
Julia’s product range today includes: HSS circular saw blades, DIN saws (1837A, 1838 B/C), precision saws for screws and jewelry industry, circular knives for various industrial applications (paper, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, rubber, plastic, foam, fabric, leather), TCT and Cermet blades for static and in-line cutting purposes, friction saw blades and bandsaw blades.
The in-line / flying cut-off range can be divided into three main applications: the single head or twin cut (Flytek Raptor), the ID Scarf cut (Jointek Intruder), and the Orbital cut (Rototek Hornet). The portfolio for static cutting includes: cermet blade for cutting solid bars (Stahltek Tornado and Stahltek Predator), TCT coated blades for pipe cutting (Tubotek Phantom), and solid cutting (Stahltek Mirage and Stahltek Apache).
Nowadays (2019/20) Julia Utensili is still growing, with an enlargement of more than 2000 sqm of the plant: all the production departments are going to be upgraded with state of the art industry 4.0 technologies. The new space is aimed to expand the company’s R&D dept., the metallographic laboratory and the PVD coatings center to support the subsidiaries’ demand.
Besides its historic representatives in France, to be closer to North American customers, in 2018 was founded in Chicago (IL) a commercial branch with a sharpening center: Julia USA Corp. In 2019 Julia Utensili opened a German branch, Julia GmbH, located in Wermelskirchen (near Cologne).
