  • Thomasville, NC, USA - Using flow design analysis technology, Nordfab Ducting has updated the design of its In-line Spark Trap to even more effectively quench sparks generated by processes such as welding or grinding. When installed in a dust collection system, the Nordfab In-line Spark Trap 2.0 helps reduce the possibility of fire in cyclones / collectors by decreasing the number of sparks which reach these units through the ductwork.

Spark Trap 2.0’s design also improves on already minimal pressure loss and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.

The Spark Trap is part of Nordfab’s Quick-Fit clamp-together ducting product line which eliminates rivets, screws, and welding, significantly reducing the time required to install or replace ducting, as well as ducting-related downtime. The Nordfab In-line Spark Trap can quickly and easily be mounted into Quick-Fit ducting systems, or other duct systems with use of a Nordfab adapter, and can easily be removed for cleanout. No calibration or other assistance from a factory technician is required.

The Spark Trap has no moving parts and pressure loss is minimal.
