Based on our experience in processing tantalum and niobium, we have developed AMtrinsic® Ta/Nb-containing spherical metal powders with properties especially adopted to the requirements of Additive Manufacturing, including attuned morphology, high purity, low oxygen content and optimized flow and handling properties.
Our AMtrinsic® powder portfolio includes elemental Ta/Nb powders and range from binary over complex multinary to high-entropy alloys (with additional alloying elements like Ti, Zr, Hf, Mo, W, V, Sn or Al). Our powder portfolio is constantly extended to provide alloy compositions with unique intrinsic properties that are inherent in Ta/Nb and their alloys creating the next generation of materials for AM. Our production set up allows to provide customized alloys even in small batch sizes.
We provide powders pre-conditioned for application in Laser Beam Melting (LBM, 10 – 63 µm), Electron Beam Melting (EBM, 63 – 105 µm), Laser Metal Deposition (LMD or LC, 105 - 150 µm) or according to customer requests. The purity of our powders exceeds 99%. Thanks to our in-house developed deoxidation process we provide powders with extremely low oxygen content which is a beneficial feature for AM processes and properties of printed parts.
Among others, fields of applications of AMtrinsic® powders include chemical process engineering, superconductive and aerospace applications as well as medical implants. In close cooperation with our customers we develop alloy compositions perfectly adjusted to their specific needs. We are also supporting our customers in their research and development phase of new applications by incrementally optimizing key properties of the AM powders. For supporting our customers, we rely on an extensive network of research institutes and cooperation partners.
With our international sales set up including branch offices in Europe, North America, Asia we can serve markets on a global scale and provide sales support in our customer’s regional market.
Our current AMtrinsic® portfolio: Ta, Nb, Nb/Hf/Ti (C103), Nb/Ta/W/Zr (FS85), Ti/Nb/Ta, Ta/W, Ti42Nb, Ti/Ta.
