The Most Flexible Platform for Processing High Performance and Engineering Polymers

    Next Generation Adaptive Zone Heater
The patented Adaptive Heating System delivers outstanding layer adhesion, resulting in maximized printed part strength and quality. Equal material properties in all directions can be expected, like conventionally manufactured parts.

    Energy Efficency
Due to the adaptivity of the zone heater, printing large parts as well as small geometries avoids the disadvantages of heated build chambers such as time and energy consuming heating and cooling of the entire build volume.

    Multi-Material Processing
The Apium P400 provides a platform for multiple tools, which can process various materials according to their requirements. Using the Independent Dual Extrusion System, the production capacity can be doubled or materials of different properties can be processed in one printing session. High performance polymers as well as technical polymers or compounds can be stored and preconditioned in the integrated dryer for an enhanced print result.

    Robust, Reliable and Organized

All components have been designed for continuous operation. High-quality linear rails and servo motors ensure high print quality and low maintenance requirements. Moreover, tracking and switching the nozzles and their dedicated materials can be done seamlessly. Switched nozzles are stored comfortably in the integrated tool drawer, while the printer remembers the matching of nozzle and material.

    Process Integrity
Automatic bed leveling and sensors for monitoring the print process are essential for smooth printing. Successful multi-material prints require a precise print head alignment, which is achieved by an integrated optical calibration system. In addition, the integrated software tracks the status of consumables and maintenance parts.

    Process Documentation
All important print process parameters are automatically recorded in a protocol. The user administration provides easy operation management and tracking.

    User friendly
The integrated software is especially adapted to the P400 printer hardware and is proven to process high-performance polymers. The status of the printer can be checked at any time on site and via remote access.

    Open System
The Apium P400 is an open platform. Therefore, there are no restrictions on using custom materials or slicing software of any kind. Self-developed print tools can be easily integrated as well.

    Technical Support
With the experience of processing high performance polymers for almost a decade, Apium offers most comprehensive service and support.

  • Apium M220 : The New Way of Manufacturing Implants

Apium provides a cost-effective solution to manufacture customized implants

    Sterile printing environment
The hot-air filter system analyses the component geometry and adapts the heating power to achieve always an optimum energy input. The air flow enclosing the component is filtered in a practically particle-free circuit.

    New extrusion technology
Our extruder was developed regarding flexibility and durability. The four times higher feed force compared to its previous models enables a precise material flow. All components in contact with the printing material are made of medically compatible materials: PEEK, Titanium, 316L Stainless Steel and PTFE.

    Biocompatible filaments
In cooperation with Evonik, materials and filaments were tested for their biocompatibility. The corresponding tests were successfully completed both in and outside the clean room. This allows medical devices up to Class III to be manufactured from PEEK.

    Monitored printing process
By integrating a camera system, temperature recording and servomotors, the printing process is continuously monitored. This enables the printer to intervene automatically when deviations occur.

    Reproducibility
Integrated calibration routines guarantee consistent component quality. The Apium print control software automatically notifies you about maintenance operations and guides you through the procedures step-by-step.

    Documentation & Safety
All the important parameters concerning the printing process are automatically provided in a PDF protocol. The integrated user administration prevents any unauthorized access. For your data security, we have decided against cloud based solutions.

    Integrated software
The control software is specially adapted to our printer hardware and optimized for processing high-performance polymers. An intuitive user interface allows an easy handling of the printer. You can manage print jobs and check the status of the printer at any time.

  • Apium F300

Improve your print quality with dry filament using Apium F300

    Stronger Prints
Filament absorb moisture when it is exposed to air. Printing with dry filament improves the mechanical properties and surface quality of 3D printed parts.

    Energy saving
Apium focuses on sustainability. For this reason, the Filament Dryer is completely insulated. Retaining the heat inside the dryer saves energy and electricity costs. The F300 only draws as much power as a conventional light bulb to maintain a temperature of 60°C.

    High Capacity
Keep your printing and support filaments in the same dryer. Apium’s Filament Dryer has three filament outlets and can host up to two large 2.8 kg spools (300 x 102 mm) or four 500 g spools (200 x 55 mm) at the same time.
Featuring a universal spool holder, any spool with a centre hole of >50 mm is suitable.

    Drying Profiles
Apium’s Filament Dryer offers pre-set drying profiles for common materials. You can also use your own customisable settings.

    Silent
The insulated heating process is quiet like a whisper. The Filament Dryer can be used in any environment, you won’t even notice it.

    Best part tolerances
The patented Adaptive Heating System analyses the printing geometry and adjusts the heating power to achieve always an optimum energy input. Without thermal post-treatment, you get even finer details and compliance with narrow tolerances. Due to the high stiffness and strength, even embossing dies for aluminium and stainless steel sheets can be printed.

    New extrusion technology
Our extruder was developed with flexibility and robustness in mind. The feed force, which is four times higher than that of its previous models, makes it possible to process fibre-reinforced high-performance polymers with a high percentage of filling. The specially designed filament guide automates the loading process.

    Monitored printing process
By integrating a camera system, temperature recording and the use of servo motors, the printing process is continuously monitored. This allows the printer to intervene independently when deviations occur.
