The ADDIBLAST smart solution series is the latest user-friendly line of machines from FerroECOBlast®, a company boasting over 58 years of tradition, continuous development and a drive for excellence, which is an indispensable surface treatment partner to various industries such as aeronautical, medical, automotive, foundry, and more.

The new machines are specifically designed for post-processing in additive manufacturing (AM), better known as 3D printing. The family of ­­new machines follows Industry 4.0 guidelines and includes state-of-the-art automated solutions of key processes for more efficient depowdering of parts, recycling of excess powder, and surface treatment of 3D-printed products, regardless of the material used. The goal is to achieve the immediate usefulness of 3D-printed parts in practice and to reduce costs.

  • MARS01
    Manual depowdering machine for cleaning and removing supports from the 3D printed parts....

  • MARS01 is designed to manually remove the powder from hard-to-access parts and support structures. The build plate with the 3D parts attached is loaded into the workspace on the hand-operated rotary table, allowing the user to remove excess powder using compressed air. The workspace is airtight and prevents any leakage of the powder. It is equipped with openings and built-in gloves, allowing the operator to clean and remove support structures in a controlled environment. Powder is collected in the bin below and can be reused in the process.

  • BAM10
    Automated blasting for part cleaning and surface treatment....

  • BAM10 is designed for bulk automatic powder removal together with surface finishing of complete printed batches. The user loads an entire batch into the rotating drum, which is located inside the workspace. Sandblasting and removing the powder is carried out by a process stored in the PLC unit. It can be used for metal or plastic pieces that come from 3D printers.

  • MARS03 is designed for a fully automated powder removal process for extremely complex metal structures. The whole system is explosion-proof and fully complies with the ATEX Directive, so the treatment of titanium and aluminum powder is not a problem, as the system can produce and maintain a controlled inert atmosphere, keeping oxygen levels below 2%.

  • STAR02
    Inline pneumatic powder transfer and recovery...

  • STAR is designed as a central station that continuously and automatically controls the pneumatic transfer, recycling, and conditioning of powder from various sources. It provides a direct connection to the 3D-printer, powder removal systems (MARS), and can also be used to purify the virgin powder before it is used in the 3D-printer. The combination of the MARS de-powdering machine and the STAR02 powder recovery and conditioning system, both working in a closed-loop inert atmosphere, prevents contaminants and oxides from ruining the powder during de-powdering and conditioning and brings powder reusability to the next level. Solutions like these are crucial in bringing additive manufacturing closer to mass production capabilities.

  • BAM03 is suitable for smoothing, roughing, unifying, and polishing surfaces, removing support structures, and precise removal of powder from extremely complex structures. It automatically fills the pressure blasting system with a feature developed specifically for the Addiblast™ line, called AddiMiniBlast. It consists of both injection-suction and pressure blasting systems, giving users extreme flexibility.
