Based on our experience in processing tantalum and niobium, we have developed AMtrinsic® Ta/Nb-containing spherical metal powders with properties especially developed for the requirements of Additive Manufacturing, including attuned morphology, high purity, low oxygen content and optimized flow and handling properties.
Our AMtrinsic® powder portfolio includes elemental Ta/Nb powders and range from binary over complex multinary to high-entropy alloys (with additional alloying elements such as Ti, Zr, Hf, Mo, W, V, Sn or Al). Our powder portfolio is constantly evolving to provide alloy compositions with unique intrinsic properties that are inherent in Ta/Nb and their alloys creating the next generation of materials for AM. Our production operations allow TANIOBIS to provide customized alloys even in small batch sizes.
We provide powders pre-conditioned for application in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (10-63 μm), Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (63-105 μm) or per customer specific requests. The purity of our powders exceeds 99%. Our in-house developed deoxidation process allows us to provide powders with extremely low oxygen content, a key beneficial feature for AM processes and properties of printed parts.
Among applications of AMtrinsic® powders are chemical process engineering, superconductive and aerospace applications as well as medical implants. In close cooperation with our customers we develop alloy compositions perfectly adjusted to their specific needs. We support our customers in their research and development phases of new applications by incrementally optimizing key properties of the AM powders. We utilize extensive network of research institutes and cooperation partners in supporting our customers’ efforts.
