A sight of particles, an insight of measurements
The PIC-1 is a complementary tool to the Bettersizer 2600, providing information about particle shape and images that can be used to better understand the particle size data from laser diffraction.
•A direct view of measured particles
•Particle shape results provide extra insight into particles
•Better understanding of laser diffraction particle size measurements
•Optimized dispersion method
•Does not affect laser diffraction measurements
How does PIC-1 Work?
Where is PIC-1 in the waterway?
The PIC-1 module is inserted into the conventional waterway of the Bettersizer 2600. In this way, during the test, the particles first flow through the sample cell test area of the image module, and then reach the sample cell test area of the laser method.
Will it affect the Bettersizer 2600 test results?
The PIC-1 will record the projection images of particles with two high-speed CCD cameras with no harm to particles. Thus, it will not affect the laser particle size test results.
What Can PIC-1 Help?
Extended Laser Diffraction Particle Size Distribution Results
•Along with particle size distribution, particle shape is also a key factor that affects the performance of the powders
•Measure particle size more intuitively
•Thumbnail images for every particle
Optimizing particle dispersion for Bettersizer 2600
•Agglomerates, oversized particles, and air bubbles can cause similar results, and PIC-1 can clearly identify the cause with particle images
•Observe real-time dispersion with high-speed CCD cameras
•Imaging methods are by their nature highly sensitive to small amounts of anomalous particles
