The origin and headquartes of the Thies Group is the old hanseatic city of Coesfeld in Münsterland, Westphalia. A traditional textile area, Münsterland is the birthplace of, and home to a number of reputed businesses engaged in this sector. Thies lives out this tradition, supplying specialised machines across the globe from Coesfeld since 1892. For the first time we have produced an industrial dyeing machine for the AM-sector in 2017. Since then we have optimized “miniColor” machine series, dedicated for the treatment of Additive Manufactured parts, e.g. serial components, spare parts and / or functional prototypes. It offers excellent dyeing results at highest productivity and reproducibility rates.

    • Dyeing machine for additively manufactured parts from polymer materials.

    The miniColor was developed for the treatment of additively manufactured parts, e.g. series components, spare parts and / or functional prototypes. It also offers excellent coloring results and optimized handling. It is the professional solution for additive manufacturing. The miniColor produces on an industrial scale with perfect process reliability, as the machine is equipped with a modern control system that precisely monitors every process step. With the user-friendly control software, reproducible and consistent coloring results can be achieved. Each process step can be precisely defined and optimized according to individual technical and / or application-oriented needs. With the aim of achieving high reproducibility, as well as reducing operating costs and environmental impact, dyes and chemicals can be precisely adjusted. Thies dyeing machines are manufactured to comply with the regulations for pressure vessels and the safety regulations for operating sites, PED, ASME etc.

    • In order to meet customer requirements promptly with consistently high quality, professional color development is a key factor. The new "multicolor" feature accelerates color development to a new level.

    • With the aim of further automation of the dyeing process this system was developed. The dyestuff preparation by the the machine operator is no longer necessary.
