SW North America Shares Smart Manufacturing Strategies and Machines at SOUTHTEC
New Hudson, Mich. (October 24 - 26, 2023) – SW North America, a leading supplier of horizontal multi- and single-spindle CNC machining centers, automation, and complete system solutions, announced that they will be offering an opportunity to learn about their two newest machines at SOUTHTEC – a premier event that brings together the most impactful smart manufacturing innovators in North America.
Those attending the event in Greenville, South Carolina from October 24-26, 2023, will be able to learn more about SW’s expansive portfolio of machine and automation solutions, including the following products that are ideal for the automotive, EV, automotive, construction, heavy trucking and medical industries:
- BA W03-22: a new, two-spindle CNC machining center that is ideal for producing high-quality work products and significantly reducing cycle times in medium and large series for the automotive industry compared to single-spindle machines.
- BA profile: a new, energy-efficient two-spindle machine that features parallel loading and unloading, maximum productivity with a compact design, high dynamics due to its linear drive technology, and the ability to easily mill profiles of various materials up to a length of 2,500 mm, for applications in the truck and automotive industries.
- BA space3: the largest machine in the company's portfolio to date, suited for machining large battery housings and numerous larger structural components with a high machine rigidity due to patented monoblock design needed for the growing e-vehicle, aerospace, and agriculture industries.
- BA 711 Space: a flexible single-station machine for small and medium series production of precision parts made of cast iron, cast steel or steel, including engine blocks, chassis parts, or transmission housings for trucks, agricultural and construction machinery, and rail vehicles.
- BA W08-12: a space-saving machining center with direct drive technology in all axes (including 4- and 5-axis machining) to provide optimal acceleration, speed, flexibility, and accuracy for machining large workpieces made of aluminum and other nonferrous materials for heavy truck needs.
- BA W08-22: a twin horizontal spindle horizontal machining center that makes it possible to double production in the same amount of time with an expanded working area to provide more space – ideal for even the largest of workpieces in heavy trucking, for instance.
- BA W06-22: a flexible horizontal machining center equipped with linear motors in the X-, Y-, and Z-axes, torque motors in all rotary axes, and a spindle distance of 600 mm is the ideal choice for machining large aluminum workpieces such as gearbox housings or bedplates for the automotive applications.
- BA 322i: is an independent, two-spindle machining cell with a six-axis robot and pallet storage system, bringing double the output with a smaller footprint and less energy consumption and allowing precision mechanics industries such as firearms to significantly lower part costs.
- TopRob7: a 7-axis gantry robot solution that loads and unloads machines and systems from above without the need for protective fences
As a systems solutions provider, SW can plan and implement complete production lines that are precisely matched to the component and planned quantities.
“The precision, flexibility, and support that comes with every SW North America CNC machining centers is inspiring,” said Chad Barkley, Regional Sales Manager for SW North America. “The most important part of this business is having productive conversations between our technology people and industry leaders to solve a core business need, and we look forward to continuing this at SOUTHTEC and beyond.”
SW North America will be located in the main hall 1, near the café at booth 1130.
