Kanfit is a build-to-spec/print aerospace engineering and manufacturing company offering full service solutions from product specification or 3D model, to prototype to serial production. Kanfit delivers primary and detailed parts, subassemblies and fit & fly assemblies made from composites and metals.
Parts manufactured include flight deck structures, avionics and main landing gear doors, winglets, wing to belly fairings, RTM chaff and flare magazines, missile and munition parts, airborne and space antennas, SATCOM and other Radomes, tools, jigs, and more. Kanfit utilizes the latest manufacturing processes for composites including autoclave, RTM, LRI, prepregs (oven & vacuum) and wet lay-up. Kanfit offers 3D additive manufacturing of aluminum and titanium and is developing other production technologies, including automated fiber placement and robotic filament winding of closed frames.

    Our fully equipped on-site laboratory for mechanical, physical and chemical testing of products manufactured in-house, ensures that materials and components comply with customer requirements and the highest industry standards. Kanfit is AS9100D certified and Nadcap accredited for composites, heat treatment, and chemical processing. Kanfit has special process certifications fro Boeing, Lockheed Martin, UTAS and others, and is an approved supplier of Israel Aerospace Industries, Israel Air Force, Israel Ministry of Defense, Elbit Systems, Rafael, BAE Systems, Senior Aerospace and other industry leaders.

  • Kanfit manufactures composite chaff and flare magazines using resin transfer molding (RTM) technology for improved magazine accuracy, extended durability and enhanced reproducibility. Using this technology, Kanfit is able to manufacture magazines that are significantly lighter in weight than those made from metals. Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines are produced in one-shot, with the metallic inserts embedded into the component and in one piece. This ensures zero failure points because there are no seams, bonding, assemblies, etc. Components are delivered ready to install directly to the customer.

    Kanfit has manufactured more than 7,000 chaff and flare magazines for use by air forces around the world. Our record speaks for itself—not a single manufacturing failure has ever been reported. According to customer feedback, Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines provide 100% reliability, the longest life cycle and offer the highest level of performance on aircraft. Tests results for ALE-47 CMDS magazines, in which ten full rounds of 5 x 6 flares were sequentially fired, show that Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines remained as durable and robust as when first fired. Kanfit’s products comply with US military testing standards MIL-STD-810, EMI/RFI, MIL-STD-461F.

    By combining our expertise in materials and engineering, Kanfit is able to meet each customer’s specific operational requirements and specifications for manufacturing chaff, flare and decoy systems. Kanfit also manufactures breech plates and magazine housings (bucket) and components for anti-missile air defense systems and SATCOM radomes.

  • Kanfit produces high-quality metal parts for the aerospace, medical and dental industries using: 

    • SLM 280 Selective Laser Melting System for aluminum parts for the aerospace industry
    • EOS M290 manufacturing machine based on Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) using titanium alloy Ti64 G5 for the medical industry

    Kanfit couples its technological know-how and experience to surpass the limits of traditional manufacturing with rapid prototyping, using additive manufacturing to produce tooling inserts, complex prototypes and customized parts, and serial products from Aluminum and Titanium Alloy Ti64 G5. Parts are manufactured directly from CAD data.

    Kanfit offers hybrid manufacturing, which combines additive manufacturing with CNC machining, as well as SLA rapid prototyping. Kanfit also uses RTV tooling & urethane casting to quickly produce parts in short-runs that do not qualify for serial production. With its new additive manufacturing capabilities, Kanfit is able to perform reverse engineering and to manufacture:
