There will be no flame spreading to the clean gas side and no smoke discharge during an explosion pressure relief. The clean gas concentration of the filtration is not affected during the relief through the filter elements. The effect of the flame barrier remains unaffected by the temperature impact due to the explosion. The protection system according to ATEX is sustainably maintained by periodic inspections.

The new Herding® OMIKRON element is a washable and sterilizable unibody filter element made of polyethylene for pure surface filtration. It is food-compliant according to the FDA and future oriented free of PFAS. The special feature is that the geometry and connection of the sintered, rigid-body filter elements are very adaptable.

Due to their parametric design, the filter can be precisely tailored to any application and be integrated into existing system components. The filter has the unique properties of the proven Herding® Sinter-Plate Filter and at the same time enables users to adapt to their specific requirements.

Herding® filter media have long service lifetimes. Depending upon the process, filter service life can be achieved of more than 10 years. Valuable contributions for sustainability and environmental protection can be realized as well.
