  • The MOTIACT mechatronic gripper series is the ideal solution for performing precise, consistent, and accurately monitored gripping operations for moving parts, pallets, and chucks in and out of CNC machines and automated work cells. These first-in-class grippers are equipped with an incremental measuring system to guarantee adjusting gripping pressure, linear positioning, and speed control as standard features.     Inductive coupling system provides 360° rotation

    Looking to replace cables that restrict the gripper’s range of motion and can easily get damaged? All MOTIACT grippers can use our innovative inductive coupling system that enables the grippers to rotate a full 360° in both directions, providing greater flexibility and versatility.

    The signal transmission between the controller and the gripper is contactless via an integrated interface, which is not affected by the rotation of the handset or by vibration or high speeds. Even over non-metallic obstacles, data transmission is possible.

  • Working on 5 axes allows the use of shorter tools to increase the feeds and the cutting speed. With a machine equipped with this technology, it is easier to carry out complex operations such as the complete profiling, the undercut working, the through holes and the creation of pockets.

    Best machine performance is achieved when all five faces of the workpiece are accessible; unfortunately, with traditional locking systems, the processing area is limited by the presence of the brackets, which often require multiple setups. With MillTec the workpiece is clamped from the base, without any obstacle to the tool.

    Additional features of the Milltec round include:

    • Increased productivity - Complete machining on 5 sides in one setup without the limitations of brackets
    • Reduction of time and costs
    • Cost efficiency - screws, brackets, consumables are not needed
    • Workpiece is clamped in a few seconds.

  • Ideal for bar and tubular stock machining that requires multiple changeovers daily, COMOT-AZ can be used in three ways: for OD machining using standard collets, for greater accuracy utilizing high precision collets with COMOT-AZ/PA or, transform COMOT-AZ quickly into an expanding mandrel for ID clamping using the EMX series.

    Effectively used for hard turning, gear grinding, drilling, milling and more, COMOT-AZ provides low deformation clamping of thin-walled workpieces and offers a large selection of standard collets available in round, square, hexagonal, and special configurations when needed for virtually all sizes of spindles.

    The optional COMOT-AZ/PA enables users to change from a standard collet to a high precision collet for holding workpieces from 3 mm to 100 mm with superior accuracy and repeatability. The EMX series extension mandrel is also available for internal workpiece fixturing.

    For automated loading, COMOT-AZ also provides air sensing to ensure that the part is seated properly before the machine cycle starts. Other advantages include radial fine adjustment and a case-hardened body and internal parts for high resistance and longer life.
