The MODIG RigiMill was developed to produce the fastest chip removal rates in the world. The machine provides chip removal rates up to 1,200 cubic inches/min in aluminum and is now integrated with a new Fischer milling head. RigiMill is a single spindle, high-speed gantry for drilling and milling with extreme rigidity providing the highest quality and precision. One machine for both high-speed roughing and finishing with various spindle configurations available.

Typical parts are aluminum wing ribs, wing stringers, and wing spars. Full automation systems available.

The RigiMill compactness was purposely designed to offer a formidable agility in any axis’s situations providing with optimal cutting performances and strategies.

With a patented design, a single spindle with up to 200 hp working from below, this high-speed inverted machining center sets a new standard for 5-axes machining. Extreme fast cut-to-cut times make the machine suitable for industries characterized by large volumes, quick lead times, and high complexity. Working inverted means easier chip evacuation with less consumption of coolant. The gravity makes the chips fall with a natural flow from the work piece and the working area.
