Welcome to CID Professional Development!
Central Institute for the Deaf Professional Development provides support, tools, materials and resources for all deaf education professionals. Our materials cover various stages of child development, from infant to school-aged. No matter your level of experience, the child's age or level of speech-language proficiency, our professionals will be able to provide you with comprehensive guidance. Our mission is to help you learn more, teach effectively and lead your colleagues and students.
Our resources include:
- continuing education workshops and on-demand online learning courses
- in-service training programs and workshops
- guided observations in the CID family center, early childhood center and primary school
- consulting services for schools and school districts developing listening and spoken language programs
- testing and developing educational tools and hearing support products to use with children who are deaf and hard of hearing
