Novarad received FDA clearance for VisAR, an Augmented Reality Surgical Navigation System, in May 2022. VisAR uses the Microsoft Hololens 2 to allow surgeons to transform the patient’s imaging data into a 3-dimensional hologram that can be superimposed onto the patient with submillimeter accuracy. This allows the surgeon to focus on the patient, not a monitor during surgery. VisAR is currently the smallest OR footprint of any system on the market.
