Nurami Medical’s ArtiFascia® is a surgical patch for healing the Dura after neurosurgeries, and is the first nanofiber-based patch that combines two functions. Firstly, its porous nanofiber structure provides a scaffold for Dura regeneration and faster healing. Secondly, the patch is integrated with a temperature-sensitive viscoelastic sealant that prevents CSF leakage and eliminates the need to apply a liquid sealant during surgery. In a multi-center clinical trial of 85 patients, ArtiFascia® successfully achieved all endpoints, preventing leakages and offering higher functionality and usability scores when compared to commercially available alternatives.
