GCT External Pump (May 12, 2022)

Safety and reliability have been the primary ideals at the heart of every Gas Clip product, including the newest addition—the GCT External Pump. This accessory is a single-button motorized sampling pump that gives any Gas Clip diffusion detector—single gas and multi gas—the ability to take remote samples from up to 75 feet away. The pump comes with a 10-foot hose for extracting air samples and a three-foot hose to connect the pump to the user's detector. However, other hose lengths can be ordered separately. Also, the GCT External Pump is compatible with the MGC Pump Quick Disconnect, which is an accessory that allows the user to effortlessly connect or disconnect a sampling hose to the pump.

Audio and visual alerts will inform the user of possible errors including blockages in the hoses and a low battery charge. The average continuous run time is 40 hours and requires 4-6 hours (typically) to recharge. Additionally, the sleek, ergonomic design of the pump allows it to sit comfortably in the user’s hand, which helps prevent potential drops. However, an alligator clip allows the user to firmly attach the pump to their belt, jumpsuit, etc. as needed. Either way, if the device does take a tumble, the durable casing can withstand the fall as well as other harsh treatment. The GCT External Pump comes with a 2-year warranty and is available through distributors worldwide.

It allows you to safely test the air for combustible (LEL) gases, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), carbon monoxide (CO) and oxygen (O₂) from up to 75 feet—even in inert atmospheres. This long-lasting pump has a continuous run time of 52 hours and only needs to be calibrated once per year. However, the manufacturer recommends bump testing before each day's use.

Another added benefit of the MGC Pump is its physical design. The ergonomic sloped sides allow the monitor to fit comfortably in the user’s hand, which helps prevent accidental drops. Single Gas Clip & SGC Plus (May 17, 2022)

Designed to withstand the harshest work environment, the Single Gas Clip is at the top of its class in sensor reliability and is available in three different versions—SCC O₂for testing oxygen levels, SGC H₂S for detecting hydrogen sulfide and SGC CO for detecting carbon monoxide. Each one has a simple, one-button operation and allows the user to create adjustable alarm set points, including the intervals for bump test and calibration notifications. Additionally, each model has a real-time gas reading capability and a unique, programmable six-digit detector identification code that makes deciphering which detector belongs to which worker a great deal easier.

The other single gas detector designed and manufactured by Gas Clip Technologies is the Single Gas Clip (SGC) Plus. Like her twin sister, the SGC Plus has top-of-the-line sensor reliability and adjustable alarm set points with real-time gas reading capability. However, what sets her apart from the Single Gas Clip is the battery-saving hibernate mode. While both single gas detectors have a battery life-span of two years, hibernate mode allows the SGC Plus to be put to sleep when not in use, which in turn allows the detector to be operable for up to three years from activation. Also, this detector comes in one model—SGC Plus H₂S for detecting hydrogen sulfide.

Docking Stations (May 17, 2022)

In conjunction with our detectors, Gas Clip Technologies offers a variety of gas detection accessories—such as our docking stations. Every dock can calibrate four detectors (or bump test them) at the same time; and no matter which dock model you need for your detectors, you can get it in a portable or wall-mounted version. Additionally, each type is able to perform at least 1500 bump tests with a 116L gas cylinder (sold separately) while the lithium ion battery can last approximately four months under typical use before needing to be recharged, which takes roughly four to six hours.

The MGC Simple+ is a simple-to-use, portable multi gas detector that runs for three years without needing to be recharged. Its extended run time comes from advanced low-power LED photometric infrared technology. Another benefit of the Multi Gas Clip Simple+ is that after the detector’s initial calibration (conducted during manufacturing), the sensors—including the combustible gas (LEL) sensors—do not require routine calibrations. They do not suffer from poisoning after repeated exposure to gas or sensor inhibitors, which allows the Multi Gas Clip Simple+ to more reliably detect the presence of combustible gases (LEL). The Multi Gas Clip was Gas Clip Technologies’ first multi gas detector, and it was also the first portable gas detector in the industry to utilize infrared technology to detect combustible gases (LEL). It additionally detects the levels of hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and oxygen. The continuous run time of the Multi Gas Clip is two months; but if turned off at the end of each day, the time between recharging can be increased to four months. The MGC only requires calibration every 12 months, but GCT advises bump testing before each day's use. This detector also includes a simple, one-button operation and a programmable user ID.
