Higher resolution nanoparticle size & concentration analysis

Spectradyne LLC, has developed a nanoparticle analyzer based on Microfluidic Resistive Pulse Sensing (MRPS). Using a microfluidic-based measurement cartridge requiring only 3µL of sample, the system overcomes the limitations found with light scattering-based methods, particularly with respect to resolving polydispersity, being material-independent and being able to accurately measure concentration. The system is ideally suited toward working with biological nanoparticles, such as viruses, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), extracellular vesicles, etc.

  • nCS1 Nanoparticle Analyzer
Spectradyne's nCS1 nanoparticle analyzer delivers the industry’s highest resolution nanoparticle size distribution analysis. Non-optical detection means no dependence on particle properties such as refractive index, viscosity or particle shape....

  • Spectradyne LLC, has developed a nanoparticle analyzer, the nCS1, based on Microfluidic Resistive Pulse Sensing (MRPS). Using a microfluidic-based measurement cartridge requiring only 3µL of sample, the system overcomes the limitations found with light scattering-based methods, particularly with respect to resolving polydispersity, being material-independent and being able to accurately measure concentration.

The nCS1 is ideally suited to characterizing size and content of biological nanoparticles, including cell and gene therapy vectors such as lentivirus, viruses, virus-like particles (VLPs), liposomes, lipdid nanoparticles (LNPs), etc. Since the measurements are based on electrical (non-optical) signals, there are no assumptions that need to be made about particle or carrier materials (such as index of refraction), viscosity or particle shape.

    • Only 3µL of sample required
    • Truly orthogonal to optical methods like NTA and DLS
    • No sample dependent Limit of Detection like NTA
    • Pre-calibrated, disposable microfluidic cartridges
    • No sample cross-contamination
    • No parts to clean
    • Results in minutes
