Profile

Jess de Looy-Hyde has 15 years’ experience working for the UK government in a range of science and technology programme and policy roles. Starting her career in Defence, Security and Policing, more recently she has worked as Global Innovation Lead in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) developing the UK’s recently launched International Research and Innovation Strategy. In January 2019, Jess joined the government’s Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) - a joint BEIS and Department for Transport unit - taking up the newly established post of Head of International Strategy and Engagement.
