Cherilyn Pascoe is Senior Professional Staff Member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. She advises the Committee’s Chairman, Senator Roger F. Wicker (R-MS), on automotive, technology, and cybersecurity policy. During her time on the Committee, she has led efforts to develop and pass several notable laws, including two surface transportation reauthorizations and seven cybersecurity laws. She was the lead staffer for Senator Thune’s AV START Act to develop a federal framework for the safe testing and deployment of automated vehicles. Pascoe received her M.A. in International Science and Technology Policy from the George Washington University and her B.S. Chem. with Highest Honors in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
