Delivering Freight on Automated Trucks Today Part Two
Thursday,July 30, 2020:10:05 AM -12:05 PM
Implementation of connected automated driving system trucking technologies have begun to progress past the stage of testing and demonstrations to deployment and delivery. Fleets are working with technology developers today to identify safety and efficiency gains in on-highway applications and extending off-highway in some cases between depots. Deployment of platooning and solo driverless technologies will produce savings in overall transportation costs. This session will dig into the details that fleets and developers, as well as, states and federal governments are working through to find game-changing solutions today.
The sessions will include a combination of formats to make the most of the virtual event.
Prior to the sessions, pre-recorded presentations will be available from some developers to highlight recent activities and endeavors of their organizations. During the virtual event, the session will include live presentations and panels with time for questions and answers from the moderator and audience.
Attendee Homework: Prior to the session watch short videos from Einride, Embark, Ike, Kodiak, Plus.ai, TuSimple, and Waymo on the 2020 AVS Conference platform.
