The device uses 4G LTE cellular connection, Bluetooth, GPS, an accelerometer (for motion-activated alerts), an audible alarm, and a companion app (iOS or Android) as part of a system to help cyclists track and locate their bikes. Very affordable cellular plans are activated through the Galeo app - seriously, 2 bucks a month or 20 bucks a year - with no trips to a cell phone store for SIM cards or activation.
