Supporting Deaf Education Professionals!

Since 1914, Central Institute for the Deaf has been committed to preparing teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists and early intervention providers to help children who are deaf and hard of hearing learn to listen and talk. In order to support children beyond our walls, CID Professional Development was established to provide support, resources and tools for all deaf education professionals.  

We invite you to explore our best-in-class deaf education tools, trainings and materials. You’ll find everything you need to expand your knowledge and guide your students to reach their ultimate potential. Our mission is to help you learn more, teach effectively and lead your colleagues and students.

Our resources include:
- continuing education workshops and on-demand online learning courses
- in-service training programs and workshops
- guided observations in the CID family center, early childhood center and primary school
- consulting services for schools and school districts developing listening and spoken language programs
- testing and developing educational tools and hearing support products to use with children who are deaf and hard of hearing
