Dr. Beverly Moskowitz developed The Size Matters Handwriting Program in response to endless referrals for illegibility among special & regular ed students. Recognizing that corrections in letter size made immediate & visible differences in the readability of students’ written work, her hypothesis was tested in the largest study ever done on handwriting, and proven effective at a .001 level of significance. Subsequent research further attested to the efficacy of this approach. And in a comparison of 9 handwriting curriculum in a study of Effect Sizes, SMHP was concluded to be best for legibility. Currently, SMHP is used in every state & 4 continents.
In 2010, Dr. Bev launched Real OT Solutions, Inc. Its mission is to provide therapists, teachers, parents & kids, with Effective, Efficient, Affordable & Fun solutions to school needs. She currently serves on the Advisory Boards at several universities. In 2015, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Occupational Therapy Association.
