If you’re looking for constant action and incredible productivity on any tackle type, then this is the trip for you. Extremely high daily catch averages (from 30 - 100 or more a day!). Incomparable productivity on the fly in the Amazon’s premiere fly fishing destination. Trophy fish in the teens are common, but fish over 20 lbs. are rare here.

Private, air-conditioned cabins - Limited to 8 anglers per group with floatplane only access, private bathrooms, and hot showers. The comfortable yacht’s great mobility allows us to roam more than 300 miles of majestic waters with isolated lagoons, winding tributaries and lazy creeks.  Optimal fishing conditions occur here from mid-August through mid-October.  This trip fills up a year in advance, so make your plans early!

Blackwater Adventurer (BWA) - Rio Negro Backwaters

If you’re looking for a laid-back trip with consistent action and a real chance at a 20+ pound trophy, this is the trip. With hundreds of miles of complex, island-dotted archipelagos and dozens of fish-laden tributaries, this is the world’s largest peacock bass fishery - and the Explorer is built to take advantage of it. Its great mobility and shallow-draft displacement hull let us go where conditions are best at a moment’s notice. Good daily catch averages (from 15 - 35 or more a day). Fish over 20 lbs. are taken here routinely.

Able to accommodate larger groups with Double or Single Occupancy cabins - Exclusive groups can close a date with from 10 to 20 anglers. Mixed groups are limited to 14. Charter flight access

Rio Travessão Indian Reserve

This trip is all about exotic Amazon variety. There’s just nowhere else like it. If you think that oddly famous TV star, who poses himself all over South America catching one “river monster” per episode is doing something special, well, he just doesn't know the Rio Travessão. The biggest, baddest and most monstrous species of them all are here; all together, and ready to fight. Our comfortable lodge operates from October through February.

Preserved in an Indian reservation and protected from outside access by rapids and waterfalls, this unique fishery provides anglers with more than just an exciting fishing trip … Surrounded by pristine Gallery Forest, over a dozen of the world’s most exciting gamefish live here. Rio Bateria Headwaters

This trip is for the hard-core angler with a streak of exploration and adventure in their blood. At the invitation of the Wai-Wai tribe in the fast waters of the upper Rio Bateria, Acute Angling has completed an initial analysis of this isolated region. What we found was so galvanizing we’re coming back for a more thorough exploration. We’ve built a rustic but surprisingly comfortable camp with private safari-style tents.

If you itch to be the first person to cast at an untouched stretch of water, then this is the best way you’ll ever find to scratch it. We’ve already found big Fast-water Peacocks, fanged payara, huge wolfish, giant bicuda, pacu, and pescada along with a whole array of the Amazon’s famous giant catfish. We’re not even sure what else lurks in these waters; But, that’s why we do this.

October through March are the months when low water conditions in the Rio Negro’s lagoon studded tributaries let us find optimal fishing conditions far away from the crowds. Drafting less than one foot with full aluminum hulls, these versatile units can make their way through just about anything.  If you seek a wall hanging trophy, this trip can deliver it. Daily catch averages (from 15 –25+ per day). Giant Cichla temensis peacock bass are found in the Rio Negro basin tributaries.

If you’re hunting for a real shot at a world-record peacock bass, then this is the place for you. . Located in an exclusive Indian reserve, the Curicuriari is the Rio Negro basin’s best protected giant peacock bass tributary.  We’ve already proven that it’s a world record class fishery (with a new IGFA length record). Although numbers of fish caught here are very low and its narrow focus and extreme isolation may not be for everyone, this trip delivers many more 20+ lb. fish/week than any other Amazon fishery.
