I didn’t come to Namibia expecting to return for another hunt in future, but that has changed – I will definitely be back! I enjoyed my time both on the hunt and off the hunt. Thank you for the excellent food, hunting, learning and memories. I will never forget my experience at Kowas.

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamt bout coming to Africa. I read every book by Peter Hathaway Capstick and becoming more fascinated with Africa. Coming to Kowas was truly an experience of a lifetime. This was magical. Thank you for the phenomenal experience. Can not wait to be back.

2022 was the first African Safari for my oldest son and I. We had our best adventure together! We harvested many great trophies but had no idea we would make a new family in Namibia. We were blown away by the camp, the staff and the hunting. Already planning for 2024!

My wife and I had our first trip to Africa, and we are glad we chose Namibia and Kowas Adventure Safaris. From the moment we started planning the trip prior to Covid 19, to the day we left Kowas to fly home, the entire staff was always responsive and helpful. Danie, Ansie, Jacques, Elleni and Matheus made us feel part of the family. We experienced genuine friendship at Kowas. Kowas is not only run as a successful business but also as a passionate way of life for the Strauss Family and all the Kowas staff.

It is impossible for me to appropriately articulate the amount of gratitude I have for the Strauss family and the entire Kowas team. Their approach to client service was warm, welcoming, and caring. It’s rare to find such genuine people, and we’re incredibly fortunate that they are now part of our lives.

When it comes to finding and successfully hunting big free-range kudu bulls, PH Jacques Strauss has no equal. With nearly a half-million acres of prime free-range kudu habitat in his concession and a lifetime of passion for the species, Jacques will find you the bull of your dreams. I’m convinced he’s part kudu himself. 

We had an amazing time during our Honey Moon Safari at Kowas, the service was next level, the trophies outstanding and the experience unbelievable! We can’t wait to go back!

My first experience in Africa was with Kowas and after other trips to Africa it is still by far the best experience I have had. The hospitality of the Strauss Family is second to none. I've been with Kowas 15 times, and looking forward to 15 more. I booked for the Bwabwata National Park with Kowas in July ‘23 for my 80th birthday celebration. I have conducted 38 trip to Africa - and have not met anyone better.

I can’t say enough positive things about all the staff at Kowas! Matheus and Jacques were great introductions to hunting with PHs in Africa, and we were all in awe of their capability to spot/stalk/track/answer any questions about any animals we saw. Danie, Ansie, and Elleni were wonderful company at every delicious meal and explained numerous traditions and customs in Namibia. All of the staff, including the chefs, drivers, skinners, and housekeeping were extremely friendly, polite, and catered to everything we could have asked. 

This was my 5th trip to Kowas. It was the best African hunt/tour trip ever! The touring, hunting, meals, and accommodations were superb. The hospitality extended to us by the whole Strauss family was exceptional. Jacques and Matheus do their best to get you the animals you are hunting. Every visit to Kowas had new additions to the camp making it bigger and better. Mahango camp and staff were excellent too. Thank you for the memorable experience. Hard to believe it has been 19 years since our first hunt at Kowas.

I have had the opportunity to hunt with Kowas 3 times and have taken numerous world class trophies. Although this is probably testimonial enough, the biggest compliment that I can pay them is the feedback of the people I recommend to trust Kowas with their safari. In all of the instances I have sent my friends and colleges to Kowas, they all have come back extremely happy. Whether it is the hunting, the hospitality or the overall experience, they all book again.

This was my 3rd trip to Kowas. The first two trips, I came with my father. As always, this father-and-son hunting was excellent and exciting. My 15-year-old son was amazed by the wildlife and the African experience in general as it is such a departure from our everyday life. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were always treated like a member of the Strauss family. We are so thankful for the opportunity to experience Africa in this way. I will cherish this trip with my son for the rest of my life and will always remember what Jacques taught us in the field.

The Kowas experience has been truly an outstanding one. This was my first hunt with Kowas and the 4th hunt in Africa. The hunting experience was truly outstanding. The Mahango camp and staff were excellent as was the Kowas location. The level of care, attention, and assistance provided by the Strauss family through the entire process, was outstanding.

This was the first trip and safari to Africa. It was the most amazing two weeks we could imagine. Everything exceeded our already high expectations. Our time together was tremendous. The hunting was better than I could possibly have imagined; amazing, with exceptional trophies taken. The accommodation was comfortable. The meals were delicious. It was a hunter’s paradise. We enjoyed the evening campfires and comradery. We are grateful for the way we were treated. We think about our trip often and we still talk about it daily. See you soon again.

While the place is magnificent, the hunting extraordinary and the camp an oasis, it is you, the Strauss Team and Staff who we will treasure the most.
