Sodexo, leader of Quality of Life Services, helps over 480 schools districts improve the learning environment by focusing on student well-being and achievement. From nutritious school meals to clean classrooms to safe playgrounds and more, Sodexo enhances every student’s ability to learn and grow. Sodexo may be best known as a leader in providing nutrition and wellness programs, but did you know that Sodexo offers additional K-12 solutions like facilities management? Sodexo’s facilities services team delivers excellence in custodial, building maintenance and grounds/landscaping services. Sodexo’s team also has expertise in testing and maintaining proper indoor air quality, insuring appropriate lighting throughout the buildings, and providing safe, secure facilities. We recently introduced Energy and Construction Services, a new offer that includes energy management, audits and planning, construction services, building management, and next generation energy solutions. We also recently acquired Roth Brothers, a national provider of technical facility management solutions including HVAC services, remote monitoring and control, facilities automation, and roofing asset management. All of these services create opportunities to lower our facility operating expenses and achieve sustainability objectives. Another exciting development to further our student well-being mission is Sodexo’s involvement with the 114th Partnership. This newly formed organization brings education, business and foundation leaders together to better prepare our nation's students for college and career readiness. The 114th Partnership is based on a proven business/education model created by the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE) in support of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. The model helps communities to better leverage resources and strategies from businesses and foundations in support of education to better prepare and inspire students. Along with our work in education, Sodexo funds all administrative costs for the Sodexo Foundation, an independent charitable organization that has made more than $17 million in grants to end childhood hunger in America. Through the foundation, Sodexo supports many local programs including the BackPack Food Program to help feed students at risk of hunger over the weekend and during holiday breaks. Sodexo has been a proud supporter of the Magna Awards since 1995.
