Piera-1 is a next generation 'Intelligent Particle Sensor (IPS)’. Piera-1 uses a breakthrough approach for detecting and measuring the quantity and size of particles suspended in air. Unlike existing PM sensors that are inaccurate, low in resolution and slow, Piera-1 has superior accuracy, can detect smaller particles (PM0.1-PM10) and count them in real time with low power consumption. Piera-1 can be programmed to detect a wide range of particle sizes allowing for a single sensor to be used in many applications. For the first time, applications can be developed that take advantage of low cost, accurate, detailed, real-time data about PM. The data can be used by Machine Learning/AI and algorithms to identify and classify it. An example is our vape/smoke detector Canāree that can identify and discriminate between cigarette and vape smoke, calculate it's mass concentration, dissipation, etc. Piera-1's data is useful in a range of applications including Air Quality Monitors, Air Purifiers, Smart Buildings, HVAC Systems, Vape/Smoke Detectors, etc.
