N5 Sensors, Inc is a technology startup commercializing a new generation of chip-scale chemical gas sensors. These highly selective sensors can detect harmful gasses in air from wildfires, industrial chemicals, automobile exhausts, cigarette smoke, and household products. The sensors are small, low power and have the capability to detect multiple gases at the same time.  N5’s multi-analyte sensors on a single chip address a variety of threats, and can be incorporated in a range of IoT products with cloud based data targeting Smart Cities, Homeland Security, First Responders, and Consumers.

  • N5 Sensors, a supplier of novel Semiconductor Photocatalytic Hybrid (SPH) array sensors for chemical and gas detection, will demonstrate a new cloud based, multi-mode threat detection system at Sensors Converge this year.  Target applications for the new product line include Smart Cities, Air Quality and Chemical Threat Detection.  Detection and tracking of Wildfires is a specific focus of the new sensor product, given the risks associated with wildfires on people and property.

    On average, 60,000 fire events burn millions of acres every year, while annual costs of containment, suppression and damage run into the billions of dollars.  The N5 sensor system "ChemNode" directly address this threat and will offer early detection and tracking, along with measurement of air quality and other hazards of importance to Smart Cities .
