What's in your AIR ? Learn more at Piera Systems, booth 1446
The World Health Organization has identified Air Pollution as the cause of 7.0M deaths per year with 91 % of the world’s population living where air quality exceeds WHO guidelines of 10 ug/m
(mass concentration). The cause is Particulate Matter from industrial emissions, motor vehicles, domestic combustion, smoking/ vaping etc. Particulate Matter of size PM2.5 is the primary cause. Until now there has been no real-time, accurate, affordable method for measuring air quality especially < PM2.5.
Piera Systems Inc. has developed an 'Intelligent Particle Sensor (IPS)’, the Piera-1 which uses a breakthrough optical approach to measure the quantity and size of particles in air. Existing air quality detectors use a methodology called Low-Pulse Occupancy (LPO) that is inaccurate, low in resolution and slow. Piera-1 has superior accuracy, detects smaller particles over a wide range (PM0.1-PM10) and counts them in real time at low power. Analysis of the data with ML/AI and algorithms enables applications like Canāree, our vape/smoke detector. Deployed in public spaces or homes, Canāree can reduce the impact of vaping and smoking on people’s health.
