Blickfeld serves two verticals - automotive and industrial/smartcity IoT.
In automotive, our compact Vision sensor can be seamlessly integrated into headlamps, rear combination lights, and side mirrors to provide 360-degree, medium-range object and obstacle detection.
For industrial and smart-city applications, our Cube sensor is paired with our Percept software stack, which converts 3D point clouds to actionable data, enabling applications ranging from people counting / queue management, perimeter security, to volume measurement of bulk materials. Our systems have been deployed to predict queuing lines at Frankfurt airport, to direct traffic and people flow at the German resort town of Butjadingen, and to measure stockpile volumes at Sachtleben Mines.
Conventional LiDAR systems are bulky and include a mechanical component to spin the tracking laser beam. Blickfeld is a next-generation solid state LiDAR, using MEMS mirrors to steer the beam. This makes the system more compact and maintenance-free.
