Zero Point Motion are a UK-based fabless silicon chip company. We are creating IMUs and inertial sensors for supply into high performance mass-markets. Our patented approach combines MEMS and photonics to measure acceleration and rate of rotation. Using cavity optomechanics technology we achieve up to 100x lower noise than the traditional capacitive measurement approach. This allows us to achieve high performance without incurring the levels of size and cost associated with typical defence- and aerospace-grade accelerometers and gyroscopes. ZPM's vision is to revolutionize navigation devices by creating a new class of solutions that work seamlessly everywhere, whether indoors or outdoors, in-hand or in-vehicle, and without the constraints of satellite-derived positioning.
