In 1988, Gary Fish founded Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon, with the goal of creating a gathering spot for locals over great beer. In its first year, the brewery sold 310 barrels. Today, it sells over 225,000 barrels annually, with locations in Bend and Portland, Oregon, and its beer available nationwide and abroad. Despite its growth, Deschutes Brewery remains dedicated to its mission of fostering community through exceptional beer.
