In 2017 alone, the beauty industry produced 76.8 billion units of plastic waste. And every year after, an additional 8 million metric tons of plastic waste enter our oceans. On top of the estimated 150 million metric tons, that currently circulate our marine environments. By the year 2050 there will be more plastic waste than fish in our oceans. As the Founder/Owner of LunaKai Lash, Andra’s goal is to offer Eco-Friendly options to all lash & beauty professionals. In efforts to help curb the use of everyday single use plastic waste. LunaKai Lash has replaced your everyday single use plastic, such as mascara wands/microfiber wands, with sustainable bamboo handles. They have replaced plastic glue pins with sustainable wood glue pins. Their packaging contains no plastic and the lash trays are made of recycled cardboard and are completely recyclable. They also offer reusable, N95 masks (Which they donated over 650 to our frontline/first responders during the Covid-19 crisis.) and many of their products are made right here in the USA. As a small business owner, and most importantly a mom, Andra’s ways to minimize her carbon footprint is paramount. With the goal of keeping plastic out of our oceans, and also focusing on regrowing damaged coral everywhere, LunaKai Lash has pledged all profits of the Custom Lash Palette to Coral Research and The Ocean Foundation. Launching in 2019 LunaKai Lash, is the industry’s first eco-friendly high quality lash company of its kind. Led by a powerhouse husband and wife team, who are paving the way for future generations. To think outside the box and create the best products on the market with the lowest carbon footprint.
