InPlay Inc Named a 2022 Best of Sensors Awards Finalist
Recognized as a Finalist in the Innovative Product Category for Connectivity OR NanoBeacon technology Recognized as a Finalist in the Innovative Product Category
Irvine, CA, June 09, 2022 – InPlay Inc, an innovative semiconductor startup company, today announces it has been named a finalist in the Innovative Product category of the 2022 Best of Sensors Awards for its NanoBeacon technology. The awards program is presented by Sensors Converge and Fierce Electronics and honors the best in sensor technologies and the sensor ecosystem, people and companies.
“We are honored to receive the high recognition from the organizers of Sensors Converge and the award committee for our product and technology. Wireless connectivity technology is playing an increasingly important role in the smart sensor market and is entering a period of rapid growth, and we are pleased that InPlay can contribute to this area with our innovative software-programming-free wireless connectivity technology.” said Jason Wu, co-founder and CEO of InPlay.
NanoBeacon is a Bluetooth Beacon technology developed by InPlay with focus on active RFID and wireless sensor applications. It is a software programming free and configure-to-use SoC, that will significantly lower the technical barriers, allowing any developer to easily build their own wireless applications without worrying about learning the complex Bluetooth protocol stack and embedded software development.
IN100 is the first of its kind in NanoBeacon product family and features small size, low power, wide operating voltage, and wide operating temperature range and long distance. The IN100 also supports various types of sensor interfaces, including analog and digital sensor interfaces such as I2C and one-wire digital sensor interface. Developers can easily connect the IN100 to a sensor, configure its threshold, and once the threshold is reached, wirelessly publish alerts or raw sensor data information via its Bluetooth air interface. This SoC, with a package size as small as 2.5mm x 2.5mm, is the ideal solution for enabling next generation wireless sensor applications. Charlene Soucy, Senior Director, Sensors & Electronics said, “Again this year the innovation in the sensors industry did not disappoint with new, innovative ground-breaking technologies and individuals doing spectacular work. The Best of Sensors Awards was created to recognize the industries best innovations. We congratulate InPlay Inc on being named a finalist.”
Submissions were judged based on the value to the marketplace, the impact of the problems it solves or issues it addresses and the uniqueness of the design. The judges for the Best of Sensors awards were Roger Grace, Roger Grace Associates, Jack Gold, J. Gold Associates, Matt Hamblen, Fierce Electronics, Brian Zahnstecher, PowerRox, Leonard Lee, neXt Curve, and Mary Ann Maher, SoftMEMS.
Award winners will be announced on June 28 at Sensors Converge. Sensors Converge will be co-located with Embedded Technologies Conference & Expo, Autonomous Technologies Conference, and Metaverse Global Congress.
Sensors Converge offers several registration options, including the All-Access Pass, which provides access to the entire event, Conference passes to Sensors and co-located events, and the Expo Hall Pass, which offers access to the Expo Hall.
