ITEN specializes in the design and production of solid-state and eco-friendly micro-batteries which can be recharged at a constant voltage and in just a few minutes. Being only a few millimeters in size, its batteries deliver high power (C-rates > 120) and current pulses (10-70mA) to power actuators, sensors, and RF transceivers (LoRa, UWB, Zigbee, BLE), to act as a power back-up (RTC, microcontrollers and volatile memories) in case of power loss or to store energy from harvesters and create autonomous solutions. They are totally safe (with no risk of thermal runaway) and operate over -20°C +70°C. They can be integrated into a multitude of products as a power back-up solution or for applications like autonomous IoT sensors, data loggers, beacons or RF tags, electronic labels, active styluses, remote controllers, or even medical devices. Having more than 300 patents worldwide, ITEN has raised 80 million euros in equity in Q4/2022 to set up a second high volume production site.
