  • Kanfit Ltd. announced that it has moved into its new facility in the Tsiporit Industrial Park in Northern Israel. At 11,000 sq. meters (118,000 sq. ft.) the plant is approximately triple the size of its old one, enabling the company to expand its products and services to meet customer demands. Kanfit manufactures primary and detailed parts, sub-assemblies, and fit and fly assemblies made from composites and sheet & block metals, and the integration of both.

    “These are exciting times for Kanfit," explained Shai Fine, General Manager of the company. "Our spacious new building has been designed to improve operations, streamline manufacturing, increase efficiency and support innovation in the engineering and manufacturing of high-quality aerospace products. We have also added more technologically advanced production equipment and machinery not found at our previous place of operation."

    The new building provides more manufacturing, clean room, paint room, and laboratory space, as well as a larger warehouse and more offices for staff. In addition, there will be a new chemical processing line for Alodine with the infrastructure to add additional chemical processes in the future.

    Kanfit recently entered into a partnership with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Rafael acquired a 50 percent stake in Kanfit, a private company owned by Shai and Shula Fine.

    The Carbon Epoxy Folding Wing (photo top left) was manufactured by Kanfit using advanced RTM technology with the following attributes:  1600mm long, 60% carbon volume,  ±0.2º torsion,  <0.1mm airfoil deviation,  ±1mm dihedral and  130ºC Tg. 

    Business jet hybrid avionics door (photo top right) are manufactured by Kanfit delivered ready to fly to the customer’s assembly line. It has a composite skin, metallic door hinges and locking mechanisms.

  • Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines are produced in one-shot, with the metallic inserts embedded into the component and in one piece. This ensures zero failure points because there are no seams, bonding, assemblies, etc. Components are delivered ready to install directly to the customer.

    Kanfit has manufactured more than 7,000 chaff and flare magazines for use by air forces around the world. Our record speaks for itself—not a single manufacturing failure has ever been reported. According to customer feedback, Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines provide 100% reliability, the longest life cycle and offer the highest level of performance on aircraft. Tests results for ALE-47 CMDS magazines, in which ten full rounds of 5 x 6 flares were sequentially fired, show that Kanfit’s chaff and flare magazines remained as durable and robust as when first fired. Kanfit’s products comply with US military testing standards MIL-STD-810, EMI/RFI, MIL-STD-461F.

  • Kanfit’s hybrid capabilities enable the design and manufacture of cockpit structures, made from composite materials such as carbon epoxy and glass phenolic prepregs and metal parts such as sheet metal and machined aluminum. These parts are assembled together into a complete mechanical structure that seamlessly interfaces with the airframe and cockpit’s electronic systems. The complete assembly can be delivered to the customer ready to install.  All manufacturing processes, as well as NDT laboratory tests, paint and assembly are performed in- house.

    Our wide range of products for the cockpit include pedestals, instrument panels, glare shields, etc. for commercial and business jets, fighter aircraft and helicopters.  Parts are manufactured according to customer specifications.
