    What differentiates the Speroni Essentia is the concise and easy-to-use control specifically designed to optimize all tool presetting and measuring operations. The runout function, MaxP, base post processor and the entry-level tool database are only some of the functions included in the Essentia control. The new vertical graphic interface and the online help function further aid the operator.

    Presetters measure the cutting edges of tools to ensure they match job specifications and are ready for use in the machine. Adjustments that could take up to 15 minutes when made on a machine can be made offline in less than a minute on a presetter, allowing the machine to continue cutting.

  • The importance of stability across the metalworking industry cannot be overstated–it impacts everything from profitability to safety. The modular UNILOCK Stabilizer System provides lateral support for tall parts during machining, welding or assembly processes, and allows for the transfer of loads down to the table or base.

    If there’s a need to back off feeds and speeds to achieve finishes, there’s a good chance a part is not completely stable. One way to increase stability is to add an extra point of contact by using a temporary locating feature or weld tabs and brackets. However, the zero-point, UNILOCK stabilizer system easily adjusts to any new part–making machining more efficient and cost-effective. The system attaches to the worktable and the side of the workpiece to provide lateral support because as the workpiece gets taller and further away from the table, cutting forces push against it.

    The UNILOCK Stabilizer System also can be used for more mobile parts of odd shapes and sizes.

  • The C-Centering Cutter is an indexable cutter that uses a specialized insert that can start a hole from a solid piece, something extremely difficult to do. It can also perform spot drilling and 90-degree chamfering at the same time or can strictly be used for hole chamfering.

    During spot drilling, the insert nose radius can be easily chipped with general cutters since the center has a peripheral speed of zero. The coolant hole in the C-Centering Cutter allows cooling of the cutting edge, which reaches high temperatures during spot drilling, and enables immediate chip evacuation. This prevents chipping during spot drilling.

    A benefit of indexable tools is that its life is significantly extended. Once a carbide tool is worn out, there is no other use to it and ends up being thrown away. With an indexable cutter, a small insert can be replaced when worn out, so the cutter body can be reused multiple times.
