This is a chemical manufacturer recommended filtration system for use on a zirconium pretreatment process for powder coat, e-coat, and liquid coat systems. While going through this cleaning and preparation process, carryover dirt, grease, and oil can collect in the zirconium bath if the product is not rinsed correctly. Not only that, but as parts enter the zirconium bath, they can cause a reaction generating a fungus that compiles into that bath along with other metal byproducts, specifically iron. This has been known to create an unsightly foul odor, as well as corrosion to the metal. If not filtered, the bath turns cloudy and yellow and iron becomes a poison for the bath eventually forcing the chemical content unusable. The zirconium then has to be dumped prematurely because of this. However, the AIS Filtration System helps to remove these bath pollutants creating an overall cleaner zirconium bath treatment experiece.
