OTC DAIHEN has updated FD-ST, our PC-based, off-line programing and simulation software to version 3.0 including more user-requested features, enhanced functionality and physical device support for our FD21 Teach Pendant or new JoyPEN joystick pendant.

Robot programmers already familiar with our teach pendant will speed their off-line programming tasks.  Other new features include the ability to upgrade FD11 programs to FD21 robots including upload from existing robots and download to new robots.  The snap-to-CAD feature update simplifies the weld path programing by choosing the joint feature you wish to weld, with the torch snapping into position within the joint.  Runtime simulation accuracy has been improved for msec-level estimation of part-to-part takt times, all the while delivering accurate collision detection.

OTC DAIHEN has expanded our ROTA-ARC series of “H”-frame indexer/positioner style of production robotic arc-welding systems, to include the ROTA-ARC 250 and ROTA-ARC 500 variants.  Budget-minded headstock/tailstock positioning for your lower weight parts.

This expanded series of ROTA-ARC production robotic arc-welding systems offers two (2) new choices to best fit the task of automating your welding operation.
As with all ROTA-ARC models, these new models incorporate compact designs that are ideal for complex parts in small spaces.  They are effective at reducing production cycle times and overhead costs with a 6 sec. average index time and a smaller footprint than comparable headstock/tailstock positioner cells.  These new ROTA-ARC variants sport payload capacities of 250kg and 500kg per side, with 1500mm spans on each headstock/tailstock.  Dual-robot upgrades are available.  Starting prices are $159k for the ROTA-ARC 250; $164k for the ROTA-ARC 500, and $175k for the ROTA-ARC 1000.
